Lolo Papa was confined in the hospital for a record 17 days due to an illness  that had to be treated with complete bed rest and doctor's care. We became experts in looking for the most inexpensive medical equipment and peripherals needed for Lolo Papa's use. So, it became second skin for us to go to Bambang, Sta. Cruz, considered as the mecca of medical supplies in Manila, for the materials. While canvassing, we came across a cute thermometer designed to distract kids from fidgeting while getting their vital signs. Interestingly cute.
